Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Small engine Tunung, mixture settings, carburettor

I have a 25cc 2 stroke Ryobi weed trimmer that will not run properly.

In attempting to fix the problem, I have completely mixed up the settings on the 2 screws (I guess 2 x mixture settings ?) on the carburettor.

Can you recommend a method for getting the settings back to where they should be

Please note also that I am happy for the question to be posted on the web-site - I could not see where this option was controlled

Hi Greg,

The high speed mixture screw is initially set at 1&1/2 turns out.  Then adjust it to give good acceleration and top speed while keeping the screw as far out as possible.  The low speed mixture screw is set at 3/4 turn out, then adjust to give a smooth idle.
