Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): starting problem on Honda GX620, fuel stabilizer, spark plugs
QuestionHi,
I have a wood chipper powered by a Honda GX620 that will not start. It has been sitting through the winter; I put fuel stabilizer in the fall and replaced the spark plugs first thing this spring. It turns over fine but will not start, I can smell fuel and it seems that it is flooding? I am not sure if I am getting a spark. I have never had a problem starting before.
Thanks, John
AnswerHi John,
It does seem like there is no spark. Check it by removing the plug and reconnecting it to the plug wire, then laying it against the head's cooling fins. Watch for spark while a helper pulls the engine over.
Let me know what you find.
