Questionthe mower starts and runs fairly well, but there is slight bit of rough running. it seems to surge
a bit (rev up the slow down). the carb is something i am not familiar with, it does'nt seem to have a bowl like i'm used to, nor does it
have the apperance i'm used to for adjusting. can you help out?
AnswerHi Bob,
After checking the governor spring, I would suspect a lack of fuel flow probably caused by dirt, debris, gummed fuel or water inside. You will need to remove the carb, disassemble it, clean all the small internal openings and blow it out with compressed air. Probe each and every hole with a small wire. A carb rebuild kit wouldn't hurt either.
I haven't seen a carb without a bowl, on a lawn tractor. If it really doesn't have one, then there may not be adjustments either.
Let me know how you make out.
Michael
