Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman 8hp C950 snowblower, float bowl, carburator

The snowblower works fine but when I shut it off after using it, it leaks leaks gas out of the carburator.  Is this a float problem or something else?

Hi Carlo,

You've got it!  Yes, it sounds like a float problem to me.    There may just be a piece of debris stuck between the needle and seat.  I would remove the float bowl and take a look although it might be easier to remove the entire carb.  If no dirt is seen, then the seat might be worn.  Another cause might be a fuel logged float.  Check it for heavyness.
