Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): snowblower problem, shear pins, augers

   THE AUGER IS TURNING AND ALL PARTS SEEM TO BE MOVING CORRECTLY BUT MY SNOWBLOWER IS NOT THROWING THE SNOW? (ARIENS 8 HP)

Hi Dan,

It just can't be.  Make sure that the augers are turning WHEN full of snow.  If the auger shear pins are sheared, they might turn with no load but slip when in snow.  Also check the impeller (If equipped.) that the augers feed snow to.  It may have sheared its pin.  Caution with all augers.  They like fingers so use your eyes or a stick only.
