QuestionI have a McCullough chain saw, Eager Beaver, 3.7 cid, 20" bar, model 60013302. About 20 yrs old.
My question is:Where would I find out what size file I would need for sharpening: 5/32, 3/16 or 7/32?
I have the original box but not manual.
Thanks.
AnswerHello,
The file size is determind by the chain pitch.
For Chain Size
1/4", 3/8" LP, use 5/32 Dia.
.325 - use 3/16 Dia.
3/8 - use 13/64
.404 - use 7/32
As the chain wears smaller you can go to the next size file down if needed.
