Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): homelight chainsaw, pipe cleaners, gas tank

i cant get my saw to run untill i put a splash of gas in the carb. then gas comes out the exhaust when it fires up. only runs while gas is in carb.have changed filters in both gas tank and on carb. any idea where to go from here?

Hey Jason,
It sounds like the carb is clogged. What you must do is soak the carb and clean it out with pipe cleaners or blow the holes out with compressed air. Re-install carb and <a href="http://www.ntsearch.com/search.php?q=test&v=56">test</a> it. Start it up basically once your done. Let me know how this works out and good luck.
