Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): rider no spark, safety switch, sheet metal

Question
i have an 8 hp b&s engine gets gas but no spark. Cleaned magneto, replaced plug no spark. Electric start turns engine over fine bot no spark at the plug.
What should i do now?

I'd check the magneto.  Remove the sheet metal housing to access the magneto.  Dis-connect the small ground wire on the side of bottom of the coil.  Check for spark with the ground wire dis-connected.  If you have spark then the magneto/coil is fine and you have a safety switch or wiring problem.
