Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): cultivator, drive pins, centrifugal clutch
Questiongot an old tecumseh cultivator made by murray.
1.6 horse model F1016100.Worked fine last 5 or 6
years. yesterday runs fine but tines don't move
? Not rammed. Turns real slow once or twice
AnswerYou will need to see if the drive belt or centrifugal clutch, if equipped is slipping. If they do turn a little, it's unlikely the issue is in the gear box. If the drive to the gear box is OK, you may need to investigate if the problem is related to either sheared drive pins in the tines or an internal gearbox issue. Hope this helps.
