i have a murray 6 hp b&s select 12h802 type 3172 e1 99091458 it wasn't starting i changed the plug now it starts and doesn't run smooth. i took the carb off and cleaned it maybe not well enough it still sputters. can you tell me what's wrong and what i have to do. thankyou Mike

Hi Mike,

Try adjusting the carb mixture screws, if equipped.  More and more carbs do not have any adjustments.  If that doesn't help, re-clean the carb.  Make sure each and every small opening is clean.  Usa a small wire to probe with.   Adding a carb rebuild kit wouldn't hurt either.
