Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): riding lawn mower, craftsman model, belts and pulleys

Hi Michael and thank you for taking time to help me. I have a Craftsman model # 17255430. I replaced the belt on it as I have done in the past. This time however the blades will not turn. I have double checked the number and size that was sold to me for this model and it matched. Could you please tell me what else I should check for please? Again thank you.

Hi Paty,

When you try to engage the blades does anything turn or make noise?  Did it work fine before replacing the belt?  After studying the belt and pulley set up, try to safely look at the belts and pulleys while someone engages the blades and watch to see what is not turning.
