Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman lawnmower, eager 1, carburator

My husband took the carburator apart and cleaned it as the float seemed to be sticking.  When he reassembled it he had a piece left over.  Is there anywhere he can find a diagram? It is an Eager 1 model 917.380320.  The piece left over is a wire.

Go to (http://www3.sears.com/) and enter the following number for your carburetor (632387) in the "Type in your model number, and click "go." (Example:106.48062890)" box.  This will give you a parts breakdown for your carburetor.  I believe the wire you are referring to is CLIP, INLET NEEDLE 631022 (#13 on the diagram).  Hope this helps.
