Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): lawn mower, flywheel puller, crankshaft

My lawnmower has blown an oil gasket.
I have taken off the shroud, tank, pull start but I don't know how to remove the bottom the pull start.

Hi Darlene,

If you need to remove the flywheel you will need a flywheel puller or just loosen the flywheel nut and tap on the crankshaft with a brass hammer while someone supports the weight of the mower by the flywheel.  After the flywheel is off you can disassemble the engine block.
