QuestionHi Michael,
First thank you for volunteering your knowledge to others - I think it will prompt me to do some "volunteering" of my own areas of expertise.
I have a 2 year old Snapper riding mower w/B&S 9.hp engine which has worked flawlessly up to now.
It has sat in the garage for a winter and now will
not run continuously.
It still has a full tank (from last year).
It will try to start but won't stay on.
I have done nothing else YET....thanks!
any suggestions would help.
AnswerHi Kent,
Sorry for the delay. My ISP was down.
If it pops, the spark probably is okay. I suspect a lack of fuel flow, due to dirt, debris or gummed fuel in the carb. Try squirting fuel into the carb as you crank it over. If it runs, then that will confirm the problem.
Let me know what you find.
Michael
