Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Mowers, stupid question, solvent

Have you ever used a mower to groom a dog?  I tried once and it didn't turn out to well.  Lets just asy ole Rusty didn't make it.  This brings me to another question.  What is a good solvent to get rid of guts on a mower?  I know this is kind of groosome, but I need some help here!!! People are going to think I am a psycho or seomthing.
