Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): tachometer, susuki, snapon

Question
I am looking for tachometer to set idle on 2004 susuki lt 50cc quad atv....best i can come up with is snapon 23o bucks or m ans d mower 130 for single cylinder non contact tach any ideas on a cheaper way to get rpms on low end down to 17 or 1900?

Hi Gary,

Sorry, I don't know of a source for a low cost tach.  For a one time use I would either adjust the idle by ear or take it to a small mower repair shop and pay them a few bucks to give you a reading with their meter.
