Battery? Alternator? Both?

It could be either the battery or the alternator, or even both. Here are some things to check:

1. Check the battery

- Check the battery terminals for any signs of corrosion or damage. Clean them if necessary.

- Measure the battery voltage with a multimeter. It should be around 12.6 volts when the engine is off and at least 13.7 volts when the engine is running.

- If the battery voltage is low, try charging it with a battery charger.

- If the battery does not hold a charge or if the voltage does not increase when the engine is running, the battery may need to be replaced.

2. Check the alternator

- Check the alternator belt for any signs of wear or damage. Tighten or replace the belt if necessary.

- Look for any signs of damage to the alternator, such as burnt wires or a cracked housing.

- Test the alternator output with a multimeter. The output voltage should be around 14 volts when the engine is running at 2,000 RPM.

- If the alternator output voltage is low, the alternator may need to be replaced.

If you are not sure whether the problem is with the battery or the alternator, it is best to take your car to a qualified mechanic for diagnosis and repair.
