Steering Column Repair: wipers, turn signal switch, monaco dynasty

Question
When i turn the wheel the wipers come on,do you think its the clockspring?  03 monaco dynasty with a smartwheel.

Hi Loren:

It is absolutely not the clockspring.  That component is a separate circuit for the airbag and those remote functions in the steering wheel (if you have them...radio & heater).  the wiper do not go anywhere near those circuits.  My guess would be a multifunction switch (wiper and turn signal switch combo)
