Steering Column Repair: turn signal lever, best guess, fords

I have a 1983 T-bird. the fords with the horn in the turn signal lever. The lever broke when I dimmed the lights. I have a new handle E3DZ-13305-A . How do I remove/replace?

Hi Eric:

I will need a picture to see what style you have.  My best guess without a photo is to push the lever in and rotate it counterclockwise to release it from the switch.  Then reverse the process to install the new one. (I think that;s the design used 28 years ago)
