Steering Column Repair: steering column, gm vehicles, lock cylinder

I have a 1978 Custom Deluxe that has the ignition stuck in the on pos.I was wonder how hard it was to fix and could I do it myself.

Sorry about your situation.  The ignition lock cylinder needs to be replaced and yes, it's fairly tricky.

Lastly, I would have a new lock cylinder in hand before you begin, to see what you are working on (hidden in the column) and accomplish finishing this job quickly.
