Steering Column Repair: Air bag steering wheel, steering wheel, air bag

I have a 2002 chev 2500 6.6 how do I remove the steering wheel so I can replace the horn contact. I have no idea how to remove the air bag from the steering wheel

Hi Tony:
The airbag is released by releasing the spring loaded clips holding the airbag t the wheel.  These release clips are accessed form the back of the steering wheel.  I am enclosing a link to a web page we have to help individuals understand the locking mechanisms used to hold airbags in place.  I believe your design is on the beginning of the second page.
