How do I get the column throw the fire wall of my 1984 Chevy k10? I need to replace it and I can not get it out. The shifter arm will not pull throw.

Hi Robin:
The column will fit through the firewall, but you need to remove the bracket on the floor holding it, then rotate the column so the shift arm can angle through the cutout on the right side of the hole you just created by taking the bracket off.
It's a tight fit, but it will come out
