Steering Column Repair: turn signals, 2006 dodge caravan, dodge caravan

Question
I have a 2006 Dodge Caravan when I turn on the turn signal rarely does it work or sometimes I push down for left and the right signal will come on.

multifunction swittch Hi Mickey:
the most common problem with this circuit is the multifunction switch itself.  This is the lever and switch assembly and is VERY easy to replace.  
Remove the 3 screws holding the two column covers together.  the unsnap the cover form each other.  Remove the 2 screws holding the switch to the column, unplug it and reverse the procedure with the new one.
Done!
