HOW FAR BACK IN YEARS CAN YOU GO BACK TO REPLACE A TILT STEERING COLUMN FOR A 2002 FORD EXPLORER.FH

You don't say if it is a column or a floor shift, standard or automatic, 2WD or 4WD so I assumed you have a 4 door, column shift automatic with 4WD (& not a sport trac).

If all of this is true, then the column will interchange with 2002-2003-2004 only
