Steering Column Repair: 85 chevy K10 steering column, chevy k10, gear sector

Question
I have a problem with my ignition.when my steering wheel is tilted up my truck won't start
but when tilted down all the way it will.now it won't start at all?

Hi James,
Your problem is in the ignition switch gear sector. It probably is worn out. There is a diagram at the link below.
