Steering Column Repair: multi-function lever, low beams, multifunction switch
QuestionHow to remove and replace a multi-function lever? My low beams won't come on all the time unless I adjust the tilt of the steering wheel!
AnswerHello Rolannd,
You must remove the steering wheel to get to the multifunction switch. Some vehicles will also have a lock plate which will need to be removed. Both require special tools to remove.
Some vehicles have a separate high-low beam switch from the multifunction switch. In this case it could also be a switch adjustment or worn linkage. I would check adjustments before replacement.
Hope that helps.
Have a great day!
