Steering Column Repair: 89 chevy pickup ignition switch, chevy pickup, bolts

Jay, I have a 89 chevy pickup. I need info on how to replace the ingition switch.Thanks for your time and info.Frank

Hello Frank,
The ignition switch is located on the top side of the column by the brake pedal. You need to remove the two bolts holding the column to the underside of the dash. You can then get to the switch which has 2 screws or nuts holding it on the column.
