Steering Column Repair: steering column, monte carlo ss, 1985 monte carlo ss

how do i put a ignition switch rack service kit in a 1985 monte carlo ss. i got the steering column out of the car, but I can not get the switch rack in the column.  help

Hello Scott,

Here is a diagram of of the sector and rack. You will have to remove the steering wheel, lockplate, and turn signal/multi switch to get to the rack.
