Steering Column Repair: 89 jeep cherokee steering wheel rocks waaay too much., jeep cherokee, model jeep

My 1989 Jeep Cherokee steering wheel moves about 1 1/2" and is getting worse. My Chilton manual doesn't have an exploded view, nor very detailed teardown/repair instructions. It's a tilt wheel.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi,
My friends at off-road.com tell me this is a typical problem this model Jeep. They basically have the same problem as many other models using this type of tilt column. They suggested you read the article at the link below:
