Steering Column Repair: Steering column repair due to attempted theft, steering column repair, acura integra

Hi Pete,

 I have an acura integra GS 2000.  Someone tried to steal the car a few days ago and failed.  They took the pannel off the steering column and somehow separted the steering wheel off the column.  I am currently having it repaired and the shop stated that the steering shaft needs to be replaced and will cost over $300.  Does this sound like appropriate?

Yes it does it sounds like the theves did a lot of damage to your colluim . it is to bad what they will destroy a good colluim and leav you holding the bag to pay for the repair . Good luck yo you and if you need any more help u let me know pete
