Note: Before starting this procedure, make sure the ignition key is in the "OFF" position and the battery is disconnected.
1. Straighten the front wheels
2. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the two screws on the back of the steering wheel
3. Pull the horn pad and airbag (if equipped) straight towards you to remove it.
4. Using a 19 mm socket, loosen (DO NOT REMOVE) the 19 mm bolt in the center of the steering wheel.
5. While gently prying the steering wheel using the steering wheel puller, continue to loosen and remove the 19 mm center bolt.
6. Remove the steering wheel from the car by pulling it straight towards you.
7. Installation is the reverse of removal. Be sure to properly torque the steering wheel nut at 37 foot-pounds.
Remember, working on steering wheel is a serious task. If you are unsure about any of these steps, you should have the steering wheel removed and installed by a qualified mechanic.
