Can you do a valve adjustment on a 2005 Subaru Legacy 2.5i?
If so, is it difficult to adjustment?
Could the ticking sound my car is making be due to the need to a valve adjustment?

Hello Kyle,

Yes the valves are adjustable.

Its tough to answer if its hard or not, or if the noise you hear is from an out of adjustment valve.

I would say on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the most difficult it is a 3, and you will need a set of feeler gauges, will also need to replace the valve cover gaskets and spark plug tube extension  seals.
