Subaru Repair: 1996 Subaru Outback Knock Sensor, subaru legacy outback, subaru outback
QuestionHello,
I have a 1996 Subaru Legacy Outback 2.5L (EJ25) that needs a new knock sensor. I know it's relatively easy to replace, so I'm looking to buy the part myself. Unfortunately, I've come across two types of knock sensors. One is described as "2 pin plug 1 used" (Part #22060AA061) and one is described as "Plug = 1 pin w'fastener" (Part #22060AA031). I'm not sure which one I need, and I don't know how to find out. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
AnswerJared,
Parts are looked up in electronic catalog with a vehicles VIN number, with out it there is no way of knowing. I cant tell you what part your car requires without knowing the proper vehicle info, call a Subaru dealer with your VIN number and ask for the knock sensor part number. Its really just that simple.
