Subaru Repair: Subaru Forester Fuel Gauge Problem, subaru forester, fuel gauge

The fuel gauge on my 1998 Subaru Forester is stuck on full reading.  What could cause this?  How do I fix it?  If it involves locating parts like connectors or the sending unit, how do I find them and are they readily accessible?  Thanks for your help.

Jim,

It could be a gauge or one of the two sending units or the wiring.  You will need to buy a service manual to find all of the connections, the fuel tank sending units are located inside the gas tank and there are access panels behind the rear seat.
