For how many miles should a 2002 forrester engine last?

Answer
There are a lot of variables such as how well it is maintained, but the second generation 2.5l found in the 2002 Forester is capable of 300,000 miles.  We have a customer with a 1999 Forester with the same engine with 270,000 and counting.
