Subaru Repair: 92 legacy awd wagon tie rod ends, tie rod ends, inner tie rod
QuestionI need to replace the inner and outer front tie rod ends on my subaru. This is
my first repair on a subaru. Is it any more difficult than a ford or chevy? Will I
need special tools?
AnswerSubaru inner tie-rod ends are somewhat complicated. If you have access to a inner tie rod removal tool it will help. make sure to replace the washer behind the tie rod end. You can also reach them by using knipex pliers. I would honestly take it to a reputable shop. I have honestly seen many customers bring cars in that improperly install their inner tie rods, they are hard to get tightened properly. Hope this will help!
