How long does a towing company have to hold your vehicle before they can legally take it from you??

I would love to answer your question but its hard to find the proper laws and regulations in each state at times.

It does seem to me that Indiana has a lien law which covers vehicles towed and as such I would check into that law. But you do have more answers to questions than I would have or know.

As a general rule tow companies start the paperwork after tows any where from 2 days to 30 days after the tow (this varies from State to State)
