Towing Issues: Apartment Towing, illegal parking, arlington texas

I live in Arlington Texas and the apartment complex I am in is trying to enforce a new permit policy. They say that if my rent is not paid on the first of the month so I can receive a new permit each month my car will be towed on the 5th. I know that my rent needs to be on time but this seems a little extreme. Some times things happen and people are late so why are they going to take my car for that.

that does sound a lot extreme but they as the property owners have the rights to do things like that.

As to legal or not that would be up to a court to decide if it went that far and someone was towed.

Now there is a state agency which regulates towing and all that but they would not do much with this issue as it is a issue about rent verses illegal parking.

But you can check out the TDLR web site and see if you can find anything at all which might apply, I would do it but you will have more answers to what applies then I do with my guesses.
