Towing Issues: towing an 86 Toyota Tercel with U-Haul dolly, toyota tercel, moving dolly

I plan to on towing an 86 Toyota Tercel behind my 99 Suburban with a U-Haul moving dolly. Is it necessary to disconnect the drive shaft to the rear wheels, or just put the vehicle in neutral?

if the vehicle is rear wheel drive, then your best bet is to load the vehicle backwards onto the dolly.  Just make sure that you secure the steering wheel so that your front wheels do not move around.

if you were to tow it front up, in neutral you risk damaging or destroying the transmission.
