Towing Issues: training, tow truck operator, tow truck drivers

what kind of training one person needs to be a tow truck operator,how long and from who?

WOW  very loaded question here...


First of all most all towing is OJT (on job training)...

There are no real training programs like college courses which allow you to drive tow truck after being trained..

BUT there are several training programs which you can attend on weekend or week long training classes to gain knowledge about towing operations.

There are also some certification programs which are book oriented and they have national certification tests and levels...

Now several states have started to require that all tow truck drivers who respond to law enforcement ordered tows... Florida, California and soon to be Texas are who come to mind right now...
