Towing Issues: Fifth-Wheel towing, 5th wheel trailer, fifth wheel towing

Looking at purchasing a 5th Wheel trailer with a GVWR of 17,000.  Is the Dodge 3500 6.7L Cummins Diesel adequate?  If not, I do not know where to look for a suitable tow vehicle.   The rating on the 3500 is 22000 combined weight.  So, it looks like I would be over.

Well I have no real answers here, as this is not my area of expertise...

But I do know that Dodge and Chevrolet do not really make a pickup style unit over the 3500 size..

I am partial to Fords, and I do like the F 450 and F 550 which have more "Beef"  and weight ratings..
