Towing Issues: Ford Ranger, tow dolly, drive wheels

I read the article about towing the Ranger on a tow dolly backwards it was a standard trans. Can you do it the same way with an automaitic? Thanks.

Yes you can..  The trick using a dolly is to get the drive wheels of the vehicle off the ground.  Ranger Pickups (unless they are four wheel drive) will be rear wheel drive.

If its a four wheel drive, then make sure the transfer case is in 2 High which means the drive wheels are getting the power from the transmission..
