QuestionIs it legal in AZ to pull your car, behind another vehicle to get it in for repair or do you have to call a towing business to do this?
AnswerI was unable to find a specific regulation on this issue, as I know that some states have laws against chain towing.. BUT the ones that I did find mentioned a distance of no more then 10 to 15 feet between the vehicles...
Best bet would be to contact your local police or state troopers office and ask them.. After all if its illegal they would be the ones writing the ticket

I found the following information
28-1108. Vehicle towing; rules; contractual agreement for towing
services; weight exemption
A. If a vehicle is towing another vehicle, the drawbar or other
connection shall be of sufficient strength to pull all weight towed by
the vehicle and the drawbar or other connection shall not exceed fifteen
feet from one vehicle to the other, except the connection between any
two vehicles transporting poles, pipe, machinery or other objects of a
structural nature that cannot readily be dismembered.
B. If a vehicle is towing another vehicle and the connection consists of
a chain, rope or cable, a white flag or cloth at least twelve inches
square shall be displayed on the connection.
