Towing Issues: towing capabilities, 5th wheel trailer, nissan truck

I have a 1986 Nissan truck and am wondering if it can tow a 1976 Palomar 5th wheel trailer.

How can I find out?

Go to your Nissan dealer to find out the towing capacity, if they can't help, check out this site:

http://www.edmunds.com  and see if they list your truck.  They have a specifications section that gives estimates of tow capacity.  

You also need to know the exact weight of the trailer and anything you put inside. The trailer manufacturer should be able to help with that.
