Towing Issues: Honda CRV (UK) Towing limit., honda crv, towing capacity

Question
Could you please tell me what the towing limit is for a first generation CRV (Year 1997)in the United Kingdom as I have heard it is quite low and maybe not enough to pull a caravan I intend buying with a laden weight of 1200kgs.

well from a web site review about the vehicle I find this statement...

" Despite its 1,000 pound towing capacity, trailering anything sizable could be a lumbering affair. "

hope it helps but I do not think that towing that much will be able to be done safely  as it's over the limits (if I did the conversions right )
