Towing Issues: 1999 jeep cherokee, jeep cherokee, transfer case

Question
What is the best way to tow our jeep behinde our motorhome.  Do we put the transmission in park?  Why would we do that?      The jeep is an automatic.

As long as the transfer case is in neutral it makes no difference whether the transmission is in gear or not.

However, if the transmission is in park you will be unable to tow if the transfer case is not in neutral. If you choose to tow with the transmission in neutral and mistakenly do not put the transfer case in neural, plan on buying a new transmission.

The transmission in park is not mandatory, it just makes it a little more foolproof.
