QUESTION: bulbs are lit but indicator shows on dash board

ANSWER: I need to know year and model please.

QUESTION: 1997 Toyota Avalon xl. 47,000 mi.  Back and stop light. I start the car indecater light is off. Press brake pedal goes on.  All bulbs are lite ok.

Recheck all bulbs again and don't forget the light on the rear tray(center stop light) the center stop light may still work but it may be overheating drawing too much current which will turn the warning light on. Replace any bulbs that have a smoky appearance, they may still work but have too much resistance which will turn the lght on, let me know if this worked for you.
