Toyota Repair: 86 Corolla lacks power, toyota corolla, distributor cap
QuestionI am having problems with my 1986 Toyota Corolla.
One of the problems seems to be that the engine isn't getting enough fuel to it. I have changed the fuel filter as I thought that may help, but it hasn't seemed to change anything. Also the car is lacking power, I have to flat stick the gas pedal in order to get the car to move. I think that there are some problems with the leads.
How would you asses?
Answercould be a lot of different things but it sounds like there is a bad misfire so I would start by doing a tune up including spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor and check the coil inside the distributor for any cracks or burned areas and replace the coil if necessary.
