Toyota Repair: 1987 toyota celica, celica 87, toyota celica

I am concidering buying a celica (87) . Car has been sitting for a little over a year. was running when parked. Put new battery in and it turns over but will not start. It acts as if it wants to but just spudders as turning over engine

If it sat for over a year the fuel in the tank may be unusable as it has a tendency to deteriorate, if the feul in the taqnk is low try adding as much fresh fuel as possible to see if it will get the engine going, another solution may be to drain all the oil fuel out of the tank, I would also recommend replacing the fuel filter.
