my toyota all of a sudden will not hold a charge and the anti theft system keeps going off when the battery cables are hooked up.

Answer
It's probably just a bad battery that won't stay charged up, try replacing the battery first, when replacing the battery turn the ignition key to the ON position and leave the driver's door open before connecting the new battery this will keep the alarm from going off.
